WBFF Southwest U.S. Championships Coming to Oklahoma

The WBFF is coming to Oklahoma on November 10th, 2012. What is the WBFF? It is the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation. We promote physique competitions unlike any other organization.
Our emphasis is on marketability and mainstream acceptance in addition to physical attributes. Judging is based on the following criteria – 40% Marketability, 40% Physique, and 20% stage presence.
Oklahoma is one of only seven states that have been awarded a WBFF event. Promoter Randy Sandberg and his wife Lisa have over 18 years experience promoting fitness competitions. Their goal is to promote an event that will appeal to all fitness enthusiasts.
The categories available to compete in are as follows:
Women: Bikini Diva, Female Fitness Model, and Figure
Men: Men’s Fitness Model, Men’s Muscle Model, & Bodybuilding
The overall winners of each of these classes will be awarded pro status with the WBFF and will be eligible to compete as a WBFF professional for prize money. Since Oklahoma has the last US event of the year there are many athletes competing for one last chance for a pro card. As of this writing, there are four countries, and over a dozen states represented.
WBFF athletes have graced the covers of such magazines at Oxygen, Men’s Fitness, Shape, and Status. One of the goals of our organization is to promote our athletes to the mainstream fitness community. Chady Dunmore, who recently was on the cover of Oxygen, and who is a two time Bikini Diva World Champion, will be in Oklahoma City to both judge the event and to hold a workshop on the day preceding it.
The event will be held at the prestigious Rose State Performing Arts Theatre. Tickets can be purchased thru their box office or online at tickets.com. This is an opportunity to view athletes from all over the world compete on an upscale stage that compliments their hard work and dedication.
