Five New Oklahoma Running Legends Inducted Onto Oklahoma Long Distance Running Wall of Fame
On the first Sunday in November, Oklahoma runners of the past and present gathered at Hardesty Regional Library in Tulsa to celebrate the newest inductees onto the USATF Oklahoma Long Distance Running Wall of Fame. These new members of the Wall of Fame are: Terri Cassel, Joe McDaniel, Joe Metcalf, Ron Parks, and Pam Sneed.
The afternoon began with a cake reception and time of fellowship, followed by the induction ceremony where the introduction of several of the inductees was preceded by a speech from a special, close friend or family member. These five inductees were presented with special rings, jackets, shirts, and custom trading cards including their running highlights and statistics.
A special plaque and framed cards will be placed on the Wall of Fame.
With the addition of the 2019 Wall of Fame class, there are now 24 total members of the USATF Long Distance Running Wall of Fame.
