Tulsa Sports Commission Unveils New Course for
2014 Tulsa Federal Credit Union Tulsa Run

Two-thirds of last year's Tulsa Federal Credit Union Tulsa Run went along Riverside Drive. That is not an option with construction of the new Gathering Place park - a $350 million project. To avoid the construction, race officials have put together a different route which encircles several midtown neighborhoods.

Runners can expect the same start (6th & Boulder) and finish areas (4th and Boston) for the race. However, the new route will run straight to Cherry Street, turn east and offer a glimpse of Utica Square and pass by Woodward Park twice.

On the course, runners will also cross the Arkansas River twice, heading west across the 23rd Street bridge and coming back across the river at 11th Street.

The new course will prove more challenging while offering the scenic tour of midtown landmarks. Runners should expect more hills than previous years, and incorporate that knowledge into their training.

Runners and spectators can expect the main 15K course to be closed to traffic from 9:00 a.m. to noon on race day, October 25th.
